Palanca

Palanca is a Spanish word that means "lever."  Just as a lever enables a person to move something which is beyond normal strength, palanca, as used in Cursillo, empowers the accomplishment of things which would not be possible without the Grace of God.

Palanca, which is one of the most characteristic marks of the Cursillo method, is effective only when prayers, sacrifices and works of mercy are done in conjunction with the presence of the Holy Spirit; allowing God to use us to serve his people.

Come Holy Spirit Prayer.....

Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of us your faithful and kindle in us the fire of your love. Send forth your Spirit and we shall be created. And You shall renew the face of the earth.

(let us pray)

O, God, who by the light of the Holy Spirit,  instructs the hearts of the faithful, grant that by the same Holy Spirit we may be truly wise and ever enjoy His consolations, Through Christ Our Lord,

Amen.

Pray with us.

As a community we pray together from 9-10pm each Monday night. This prayer happens where ever you are. Just stop and say a prayer for the graces of our movement and the ability to take Christ bravely into our environments. Please join us.

St. Paul - Patron Saint of Cursillo,

Pray for us.
